LEL Member's Dinner and Meeting
Wednesday September 13th
SOCIAL 5:30, DINNER 6:00, PROGRAM 6:45
Join us on September 13th for our first Member's meeting of the fall! We will be joined by Fred Poyner IV, Historian & Author, who will talk about his two recently completed books about Norwegian shipbuilding and fishing on the Ballard waterfront. Fred Poyner has over 30 years of experience in researching and writing about the art and history of the Pacific Northwest. He has won several awards for his research and publications. He will have books for sale at the dinner.
Of course, since the topic is about fishing, Malin will be serving a most intriguing dinner: Jarlsberg Cod with tomatoes and leeks, boiled potatoes, vegetables, salad with fresh herbs and berries, bread and butter chips. A surprise dessert will be served. Please RSVP before Monday, September 11 either online, bulletin board or call the lodge—206 783-1274.

There are many opportunities for volunteers including kitchen, baking, parking lot staffing, cashiering, spot raffles, Ditt og Datt.
We are also looking for donations to our online auction. We already have a weekend getaway at the beach, a weekend getaway at the mountain and some special vintage items. Looking for a boat trip around the sound, dinners, and other special events such as tickets for football games, basketball games, Kraken tickets, etc.! We also are in need of books and silent auction items which can be brought to the office on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10AM-2PM. Just call the office or email us. Many hands make light work!
